After studying art in college, Jim started his construction company, Creative Woodworks,
in 1977. He began buying investment properties in 1981, which he describes as the true
beginning of his real estate career. Jim Murray has built, restored, sold and kept homes in
Mill Valley, Belvedere, Sausalito, Muir Beach and West Marin.
With a great passion for fine homes and a contractor’s license for nearing 50 years, Jim
Murray added a real estate license to his credentials in 2003. Since that time, he has used
his expertise as a contractor to help sellers bring out the best in their fine homes before
they come on the market. Jim has aided his buyers as well, with his builder’s eye to help
the client see the potential in a home, while identifying what work may be necessary.
